Biography

Chidi Uzoma Igwe currently works at the Department of Biochemistry, Federal University of Technology Owerri. Chidi does research in Clinical Chemistry, Nutritional Biochemistry and Medicinal plants. His most recent publication is "Alterations in Lipid Profile and Atherogenic Predictor Indices of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria", which was published in Biochemistry.

He is a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (Chemical Pathologist) and, an Examiner for and a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN). He has attended and presented papers in many local and international conferences and workshops, and has anchored many continuing professional development (CPD) courses for clinical biochemists and medical laboratory scientists. Many of the CPD courses centered on sourcing of biomedical data, their processing, analysis and packaging for publication purposes.

He has published over 80 scholarly articles in national and international journals, and has written many book chapters in mainstream University texts on General Biochemical and Analytical Techniques, Clinical Biochemistry, and Research Methods and Biostatistics. He has successfully supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
