Dr. Bukar Zanna Waziri has served the University of Maiduguri and the Department of Accounting in various capacities. In the year 2017 and 2020, he designed course contents, introduced and pioneered lectures in ‘Oil and Gas Accounting’ (ACC 412 and ACC 816) for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels respectively. As Part IV Coordinator from 2017 to 2019, he has processed the graduation of over 500 students to obtained B.Sc. Degree in Accounting. Dr. Waziri was appointed PG coordinator for Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from 2020 to early 2021 and he processed the graduation of about 6 Postgraduate Diploma Accounting students. Subsequently, Dr Waziri was appointed as the Faculty of Management Sciences Representative of the School of Postgraduate Board in April 2021 to Date. Also, he is currently the Coordinator of the M.Sc. programme in the department. He has also served as Assistant Financial Secretary of the University of Maiduguri ASUU Multiple-Purpose Cooperative Society (UAMCS) LTD and currently serving as the Internal Auditor. Dr Waziri is also a member Faculty of Management Sciences Alumni Committee, University of Maiduguri, assisting the committee to coordinate the Alumni activities in the Faculty of Management Sciences. Dr Waziri is serving his community as a visiting lecturer in Department of Accounting, Borno State University since 2019. At the national level, Dr Waziri has served as a Panel Member of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Selection Committee (PSC) for PhD Overseas Scholarship Scheme since 2020 and a Resident Monitor for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
