Aisha Abdullahi Mahmud is an academic and dedicated researcher at Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, Nigeria, where she serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology. She has expertise in molecular biology, genome editing, plant–microbe interactions, bioinformatics, and the use of natural products in sustainable agriculture. Aisha has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals and serves as a reviewer for leading scientific outlets. She also holds certifications in molecular biology techniques, scientific publishing, and research ethics. Passionate about science communication and inclusive education, Aisha leads community outreach initiatives, including free genotype testing and sickle cell awareness campaigns. She is the founder of the Women Thrive Project, which promotes female participation in STEM. As an Ambassador of the Asian Council of Science Editors, she advocates for research integrity, mentorship, and global collaboration. Her vision is to bridge scientific gaps in underserved communities through education and innovation.
