Biography

Dr. Elamin Ali Ahmed Ali is currently working as Professor, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, at University of Gezira Sudan. He obtained his PhD degree in Plant Breeding from University of Gezira, Sudan and INRA France. He worked as Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at University of Gezira. He is also supervising M.Sc. and PhD students and conducting research within the breeding programs of sorghum, maize, sunflower and millet in collaboration with Rain fed Crop Research Center, University of Gezira and collaborating with GAFL (INRA, France) in breeding sweet pepper for inter-tropical regions (LIRA program) and cucurbits for disease resistance. He is member of Gezira University Senate, Al Butana University Senate and Al Butana Scientific Committee. He is also reviewer for Sudanese Agriculture Research Corporation Promotion Committee. He has published 16 articles in referred journals and 13 in conferences as author/co-author. He is a supervisor of 1 PhD student and 1 MSc student & co-supervisor of 5 PhD and 3 MSc students and also internal and external examiner of 4 PhD students and 7 MSc students.
