Dr Violet Kankane Moselakgomo is a post-doctoral fellow at University of Limpopo. Dr VK Moselakgomo has published and presented quite a number of scientific research papers and projects in accredited and highly esteemed journals. She is recognized as a researcher and an expert in the area of research focusing on physical growth and development, cardiovascular and matabolic disease risks among children and issues concerning secular trends, sexual dimorphism and the mediating role of physical activity, nutrition and lifestyle. She contributed extensively to students and staff members of various universities conducting workshops and seminers focussing on the health and wellness programs. Dr VK Moselakgomo is a member of International Society for Comparative Physical Education and Sport (ISCPES), China and an affiliated member of International Cof Childhood Obesity (CIOI). Recent publications include papers on diagnistic comparison of centers for disease control and prevetion and international obesity task force criteria for obesity classification, Screening for risk factors of obesity and cardiometabolic diseases and Physical activity and risk factors of cardiometabolic diseases in South African children. Dr VK Moselakgomo holds a BA(ed),BA(Hons.) Kinesiology, University of Limpopo, Polokwane, Mtech (Clinical Technology),Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria and PhD (Human Movement Science) North West University, Potchefstroom.She is currently puersuing her post-doctoral fellowship at University of Limpopo, in the Department of Physiology and Environmental Sciences, School of Molecular and Life Sciences.
