Biography

I am a passionate Crop Scientist with specialization in plants documentations (taxonomy, ethnobotany, pharmacology & phytochemistry), conservation biology, crop production and forestry. My research focuses on the taxonomy of southern Africa’s biodiversity and dissemination of information on plant- people relationships. My research provides an insight into the evolutionary relationships, functions and processes among underutilized and understudied different plant groups. I have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with great ability to work in and lead teams. I am development oriented, with a huge passion for research, teaching and working with communities. My career objective is to improve agricultural productivity and food security in the country through sound scientific research, quality education and effective crop management.
