My name is Patricia Carracedo and I am a graduate in Actuarial and Financial Sciences (2007) and in Business Studies (2004) at the Universitat de ValÓncia. Later, while I was working at Banco de ValenciaI complemented my studies with a Master's Degree in data analysis engineering (2013) at the UniversitatPolitÓcnica of ValÓncia (UPV). In 2017 I got my PhD inStatistics and Operational Research (2017) atUPV. My main line of research is the study of mortality in Europe through geostatistical techniques. As a result of this thesis I would highlight two publications, one of them, in an international journal of medium-high impact “International journal for equity in health” and the other in an national journal (Rect@)which was awarded at the congress "XXV ASEPUMA Conference - XIII International Meeting 2017" on June 8 and 9 in La CoruÜa. In addition, I am workingin a research project where Ignacio H. de Larramendi of the FundaciÞnMapfre as a main reseacher together with the professor Ana MarØaDebÞn. Between 2017-2017 I have participated as a research team in a grant of Ministry of Science and Innovation Announcement BOE-A-2013-11616.
Currently, I am the Director of two degrees in Business Administration and Management and Economics at the Valencian International University(VIU) since September 2017. Also, I have been lecturer of Statistics and Econometrics, in both degrees, since November 2014 in VIU. At the same time, I have directed two final degree projects and I have been a member of the panel in the defenses of final master's dissertation in the Master's Degree inBusiness Administration of VIU. From January 2016 to September 2017 I was professor of Statistics and Data Mining in the Information and Documentation degree of the UniversitatOberta de Catalunya.
Between 2008 –2013 I worked at Banco de Valencia, I was in charge of the risk department, performing functions such as making and implementing multivariate statistical models of credit risk (Scoring / Rating), analysis and control of the policies and decision rules implemented, elaboration of reports and monitoring the models, extraction, analysis and manipulation of data and Iperformed monthly business statistics.
The multinational company Modellica S.L between 2002-2008gave me the opportunity to be a data analystwhere I developed functions like creation and analysis of credit risk models, development, control and evaluation of models, design and control of decision rules and strategies related to the entire credit cycle and monitoring of the models developed and implemented.
As can be seen, in my professional career I have worked in two fields: business and university, performing functions as business consulting, management, teaching and research.
