Biography

Dr. Jose Miguel Campos Martin is currently working as Scientific Researcher at Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Spain. He has completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. He is having 20 years research experience. Previously he was appointed as Tenured Scientist (Staff Researcher) at CSIC, Instituto de Catalisis y Petroleoquimica, Madrid, Spain, Postdoctoral fellow founded by a R&D project between REPSOL S. A. and CSIC, Postdoctoral grant holder in department Intermediate Products of the Technological Centre of Repsol S. A., Spain. His research topics are directly related with novel homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic processes, with a strong emphasis on the efficient usage of raw materials and energy as well as on the minimal generation of unwanted by-products. In agreement with this objective, his research labor is involved in the catalysis area with the aim of an immediate technological application. During his career he has used a great variety of techniques and experimental methodologies are usually applied, in which it can be pointed out: spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis, NIR, FTIR, XPS, XANES), thermal analysis (TG, TPR, TPD, TPO), analytical techniques (GC, GC/MS, mass spectrometry), electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction etc. He has published 77 research articles in refereed journals as well as 10 patents contributed as author/co-author. He is also participated in number of research projects.
