Biography

Dr. Jose Ma de Urena is currently working as Professor of City and Regional Planning, University of Castilla La Mancha, School of Architecture at Toledo and School of Civil Engineering at Ciudad Real Spain. He has received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Santander, Colombia. Currently he is working on several projects on 3 topics such as Territorial and transportation consequences of High Speed Rail, Historic Administrative Cities in Urban Metropolitan Regions, and Design of Streets. He also worked as Lecturer and Professor at University Politecnica of Madrid, Visiting Scholar at University of California, Berkeley, Dean, New School of Civil Engineering, University Castilla La Mancha, and Visiting Professor, University Lille 1. He is member of Editorial Board, Transportation Research and Pergamon Press. He has published 19 books, 24 research articles in journals, 8 chapters in international books, 76 research articles in referred journals and books contributed as author/co-author. He also delivered number of invited lectures in many national and international institutes.
