Dr. Manuel Ferreira Rebelo holds a PhD in Engineering and Industrial Management, a M.Sc in Integrated Management Systems, Post-Graduation in Integrated Management Systems QES, Environmental Management and in Occupational Health and Safety, Executive MBA, Master of Business Administration in Commercial Engineering and Management, Post- Graduation in Quality Engineer and 5-years Degree, Electrical Engineering. His main research work is focused in Integrated Management Systems (IMSs) and Sustainable Development (SD). Others research interests include: Total Quality Management (TQM); Integrated Risk Management (IRM); Cleaner Production (CP); Sustainability. He is member of the Engineering and Industrial Management Research and Development Center (CLEGI), Lusiada University. He participated as speaker at various seminars, conferences and lectures. He is author and co-author of national and international publications, books, articles in journals, chapters of books and encyclopedia. Activity as reviewer in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a professional with more than 30 years of expertise and with a wide range of management skills, always focused on rationalization, improving processes, and sustainable development of the businesses. He has been manager in National and Multinational companies including the areas of Energy Management, Solutions, Laboratories, Manufacturing, Customer satisfaction, TQM, BCP, Product Development, Quality, OH& Safety, Environment among others. He is a qualified trainer on topics of his competencies, and trainer of trainers on TQM, qualified auditor, and superior technician on OH&S. He is permanent member of the Professional Association of Engineers of Portugal, and member of the Portuguese Association for Quality (APQ) from which received the badge of silver after 25 years as effective member. He has published (21) articles in different peer reviewed journals.
