Biography

Dr. Patricia Alexandra Curado Farms Dinis Poeta was born in Mozambique in 1975. She is Full Professor in the Department of Veterinary Science UTAD and member of the Center for Animal Science and Veterinary (CECAV). She received her PhD degree in Veterinary Science from same University. She has Guided 7 doctoral thesis and several Masters students. The research interests are focused in the areas of genomics and molecular biology applied to microbiology with special emphasis on antibiotic resistance, virulence factors and bacteriocins/ probiotics. In addition to accounting for research projects funded by private companies and inter-university projects, teaches international courses and Masters degree and maintains working agreements with several national and international entities. She has published over 96 articles in journals of the SCI, 5 chapters in books, 37 oral presentations, 63 communications at international scientific meetings, 101 communications in national or Iberian scientific meetings, 164 posters at scientific meetings, 6 publications in GenBank, 7 publications in UniProt, 6 records in the MLST, 7 articles in technical and scientific journals and 43 series or pedagogical work. She received 13 awards.
