Biography

Dr. Fernando Manuel A.S. Pacheco Torgal is an Investigator FCT at C­TAC Research Centre, University of Minho (UNorte). He is the only FCT Investigator in the Civil Engineering area in Portugal. He has authored 280 publications, 100 in CrossRef, 96 papers in peer reviewed journals, around 75 publications both in ISI Web of Knowledge-WoK and in Scopus­-Elsevier, 57 publications on Elsevier Science-Direct, 44 papers published in ISI­A1 journals. He also served as Invited reviewer for 64 international journals. He has reviewed more than 200 papers submitted to international journals. He is member of the editorial board of four international journals. He was awarded with the Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing by the Editor-in-Chief of the ISI journal Construction and Building Materials in 19 of June of 2014. He is lead Editor of 13 international books, 10 already published by Springer and WoodHead Publishing-Elsevier Science and Technology with more than 300 contributors from 46 countries in the five continents.
