Biography

Dr. Humberto Varum holds a position of Professor at University of Porto, Portugal, Seconded National Expert to the European Commission, and Honorary Lecturer at Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering University College of London (UCL) London, United Kingdom. He has completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Aveiro, Portugal. He has experience of work within national and international organizations, establishing networks and collaboration among different institutions, monitor contractors. He is also organizing and working in multidisciplinary teams, acquired mainly as program director of the Civil Engineering Degree at the University of Aveiro and as project co-ordinator/ member of several projects. He has published 18 patents, 9 chapters in book, 124 research articles in national and international refereed journals, 281 national and international refereed conference proceedings and 14 scientific reports contributed as author/co-author.
