Biography

Dr. Yevhen Sosnovsky is currently working as Senior Specialist and Junior Research Fellow (part-time) at Botanical Garden of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. He has completed his Ph.D. in Biology from Department of Botany, Biology Faculty, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. Previously he was appointed as Lathe Operator at Open Joint-Stock Company Almazinstrument, Ukraine, Laboratory Assistant and Engineer at Botanical Garden of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. He also participated as a co-investigator in a number of research projects performed within working hours at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. He is scientific referee for African Journal of Plant Science and Philippine Journal of Systematic Biology. His main area of interest focuses on Taxonomic and ecological implications of leaf anatomy and micromorphology, plant diversification and adaptations at microlevel, trait evolution in plants, plant architecture and community structure of the associates, and host selectivity in arthropod herbivores. He has published 11 research articles in journals as well as 26 conference papers contributed as author/co-author.
