Biography
Dr. Alba Amato is currently working as Post Doctoral Reseracher in Computer Science at the Second University of Naples. She received her Postgraduate Degree from the School of Specialization in Computer Science Teaching of the University of Naples Federico II and her PhD from the Second University of Naples. Her research is focused on Multi Agents for the development of context-aware services in Pervasive Environments and in Cloud Computing. In the first case, the search was focused on the Tools and Technologies to Support, Manage and Develop Services for the Internet of Thing (IoT), Middleware and Architectures to Facilitate Interoperability between Heterogeneous Devices, Tools to support the Development; Technologies and Algorithms for the Extraction and Exploitation of context Information. From 2013-today she partecipates as a member of the coordinator unit at the European FP7 projects. She has participated in many national and international conferences and workshops and presented the results of her research. She is reviewer for several IEEE, Inderscience and Wiley journals in the areas of Computer Science. She is reviewer for national and international conferences and workshops. She has received Best Paper Award of the 4rth International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems (INCOS 2012), Bucharest, Romania, September 19-21, 2012, and Award for best PhD thesis (SUN), from Ercolanese Academy-2014. She has published 15 research articles in journals, 8 book chapters, and 20 papers in conferences and workshops contributed as author/co-author.
