Biography
Dr. Alberto Scoma is currently working as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Gent University, Belgium. He has completed his Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular and Industrial Biology from University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy. He also appointed as Post Doctoral Research Fellow at University of Bologna, Visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Helmholtz Zentrum MÊnchen, Germany, and Institute of Plant Biology, Biological Research Centre, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and Universidade Nova de Lisboa Portugal. He was received Fellowship in 2 EU Projects (EcoBioCap and KillSpill) and a Marco Polo Scholarship. He also participated in 24 international events and performed 7 presentations as speaker. He has supervised 24 young scientists (BSc to PhD) coming from Europe and abroad. He is reviewer for 13 international journals, 1 conference, and 1 project proposals. He is editor for New Biotechnology (Elsevier), Frontiers in Bioenergy and Biofuel and BioMed Research International, and Developmental Editor for American Journal Experts (USA) as independent contractor. He has published 29 research articles in journals 2 book chapters, 25 papers in conferences contributed as author/co-author.
