Biography

Dr. Maria Concetta Tomei is currently working as Senior Researcher at Water Research Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), Italy. She got her degree in Chemical Engineering on October 31st, 1983 at the Rome University La Sapienza. In past she worked as Visiting Researcher at RICE University, Houston (TX) for a four month stage working as Professor of Biological Processes in the Industry at the Rome University La Sapienz, Planning and coordination of the action activity at Italian delegate in the Management Committee of the EU Project COST 636 European Concerted Action Project on Xenobiotics in the urban water cycle. She is member of editorial board in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (Elsevier), BioMed Research International (Hindawi Publishing Corporation), She is Referee for the following scientific journals such as, Biodegradation, Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemosphere Environmental Science and Technology, Environmental Technology, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Process Biochemistry, Water Research, and Water Science and Technology, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering and for national and international conferences. She is also working on national and international projects. She co-authored more than 120 scientific published papers.
