Biography

Dr. Claudia Pelosi is currently working as Researcher at the Department of Sciences for Cultural Heritage in the University of Tuscia - Viterbo, Italy. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Perugia, Italy. From January 1991 until February 2005 she was employed as Technical Collaborator at the Faculty of Conservation of Cultural Heritage of Tuscia University owing to the winning of a public competition to fill a post as Chemist in the Diagnostics for Restoration Laboratory. Her research work was aimed to the study of materials and techniques of cultural heritage and of the air pollution in relation to the artefacts. From January 1990 to January 1991 she worked as external collaborator in the Department of Forest Environment and Resources (DI.S.A.F.RI.) of Tuscia University of Viterbo. She studied the reserve proteins of many plants, especially pines and firs, with taxonomic goals. She also participated in national and international congresses with oral presentation or posters. She also participated in national and international projects. She is member of the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr), and member of the Italian Society for Optics and Photonics (SIOF). She has published 61 research papers in journals as author/co-author.
