Biography

Dr. Cristina Pronello holds a position of Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino Italy. She has completed her Ph.D. in Transport Engineering from University of Rome-La Sapienza, Italy. She has taken part in numerous research activities, contracts and provided advice, and coordinated several research projects. She is member of Province of Torino’s Engineers’ Association. Since 2001 she has coordinated and coordinates 10 research projects at European level and 20 at National level. Her research group is composed by five PhD students, two visiting PhD students, and three grant holders. Her research activity is focused on two main topics: the Environmental impacts of Transport Systems and the Travel Behavior to define proper policies of Sustainable Mobility. She leads or is member of editorial boards of international journals. She is Chair of the Advisory Board of the Open Access Journal on European Transport Research Review (ETRR). She is referee for several scientific journals. Since 2001 she coordinated 30 research projects at European and national level funded by a diversity of agencies. She has published 10 research articles in journals as well as 15 papers in international conferences.
