Biography

Dr. Antonia Concetta Elia is currently working as permanent Researcher (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology, University of Perugia Italy. She has completed her Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from same University. She also served as Visiting Scientist and Invited Scientist at different international institutes. She also involved in national and international researcher projects and is a reviewer for scientific journals. She is a member of the Board of Professors of the PhD courses in Biology and Ecology and in Biotechnology and of professional societies. She co-authored 46 original articles in international ISI journal, 8 book chapters, 17 original articles in national and international non-ISI journal and 95 abstract and proceedings for national and international conferences. Her main area of research focuses on Biomarkers of Contaminant-Mediated Oxidative Stress in Freshwater Organisms-Integrated Chemical and Bio-Molecular Assessment of Environmental Stress and Animal Welfare develop a Panel of Molecular, Biochemical and Cellular Markers in Aquatic Organisms for an early Assessment of Environmental Health and Animal Welfare.
