Dr. Alan Feest has obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences (Ecology) from University of Exeter and then a PhD (Ecology of Myxogastrids) from University of Bristol which was continued as a Post-Doctoral Research. Currently he is working as Senior Research Fellow at Institute of Advanced Studies Queen’s Building, University of Bristol. Previously he was employed by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food as Experimental Officer at the Central Veterinary Laboratory, Weybridge, Laboratory Technician in a soil chemistry laboratory, and Chief Technician at Midland Poultry Holdings Ltd, Head of Agricultural Sciences, Fakenham High School, Norfolk. He was received visiting researcher award from the British Council for a three month study period in Czechoslovakia, and awarded an accelerated progression for his work in the Department for Continuing Education. He successfully supervised more than 58 MSc students. He has published 5 international reports, 3 book chapters, 42 research articles in journals, and 16 papers in conference contributed as author/co-author. He is also serving as editor and reviewer for number of journals. He also received number of research grants.
