Dr. David Bonilla is currently working as Senior Research Fellow in Energy Economics, Oxford University, School of Geography and Environment & Research Fellow at St. Annes College, Oxford University. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. He also received many research grants and participated in international projects. He has published 20 research articles in journals, and 20 papers in conference contributed as author/co-author. He is also serving as reviewer for journals and currently reviewing a large scale ESRC project in the field of containerization and rail freight of the UK freight market. He supervise undergraduate, MSc and D.Phil. thesis within the School of Geography and Environment. His main area of research interest focuses on Climate policy and transport including air and land transport systems, Energy efficiency in Transport; fuel economy in UK and Japan, green car markets, energy demand modelling, distributed generation and low C02 technologies, Asia-Pacific energy issues (China; Japan); EU emissions trading focusing on freight transport and global supply chains; global carbon footprints of EU products.
