Biography

Dr. Witold P. Kwapinski completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Lodz Technical University, Poland. He is having over 16 years’ research, teaching, design, development, modelling and optimization experience of novel and existing processes in chemical and process Engineering. He is highly qualified, a hard and conscientious worker, ambitious person, enhancing teamwork, with substantial research and teaching experience and potential. He is supervising 2 PhD students and co-supervise 3 other (five already successfully completed) and several final year projects and design project students. Dr. Witold is a Lecturer and Course Director and leader of 5 modules at The University of Limerick, Ireland. Dr. Witold is a Principal Investigator, Supervisor and Collaborator in number of national and international projects. He has over 90 publications in high rank journals, conference proceedings and reports. Dr. Witold has been invited to referee journal submissions by several highly ranked ISI and EU FP7 projects. He acts as an expert in external research and industrial institutions and is a member of Management Committees. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer in number of journals. His area of research interest focuses on Biorefinery, Energy and Natural Resources, Thermal Processes, Biowaste Processing, Separation Processes, Adsorption Processes, Numerical Modelling of Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Reaction Engineering, Nutrients Sorption, Plasma Processes, Carbon Nanotubes, Carbon Inks, Bio-Oil Upgrading, Bio-Gasification, Char and Nutrition Processing, and Heat and Mass Transfer.
