Biography

Blandina Bernal Morales is a Full-Time Researcher at the Neuropharmacology Laboratory of the Institute of Neuroethology at the Universidad Veracruzana (UV) in Xalapa, Veracruz, with UV personnel number 26649. She has a Clinical Laboratory Technician degree (1989), a Q.F.B. degree from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Biological Chemistry Xalapa of UV (1995), a Master's in Neuroethology from UV (2000), and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2006). She also holds a specialty in Teaching Competencies at the upper secondary level with certification and professional license (2012), a Diploma in Thanatology (2018), a Diploma in Stress, Depression, and Anxiety Management (2021), and a Diploma in Bioethics (2021). Her research focuses on experimental pharmacology, ontogeny, physiology, and behavior related to psychiatric diseases, depression, and anxiety. She develops her research line on stress, affect, and development in experimental models and collaborates on a collateral research line in education and health in humans. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) level I in Mexico, the Consolidated Academic Body Neuroethology UVE-025 of the same institute, and a collaborator in other academic bodies. She has been recognized with the desirable PROMEP profile since 2006 and the highest level in the UV productivity program. She is the author and co-author of over 90 publications, including original research articles, scientific outreach, education books, book chapters, formal communications at events in national and international peer reviewed journals and books indexed in JCR.
