Dr. Nito Angelo Debacher is currently working as Senior Lecturer Independent Researcher in Chemistry Department of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. He obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry of Surface from University of Bristol, Bristol UK in 1991. His research interest related to Plasma Technology, Development of a DC-Plasma torch for decomposition of organ chlorine compounds, Carbon dioxide, Methane, CFCs etc, Application of solid phase micro extraction for the monitoring of gases resulting from Thermal Plasma Pyrolysis, Characterization of Nanotube produced by thermal Plasma, Waste Water Treatment by non thermal plasma, Surface properties of polymeric films treated by non-thermal plasma. He is professional member of Brazilian Chemistry Society. His other professional services include 1st Secretary of the Brazilian Chemistry Society, Member of many Conference Organizing Committees and Visiting Professor at the Physic Engineering Department of the McMaster University Hamilton Toronto, Canada. He has published 19 articles in journals as author/co-author and also 3 patents holder.
