Dr. Jose Antonio Menezes Filho completed his doctoral degree in Public and Environmental health from the National School of Public Health with emphasis in Environmental Toxicology. He holds a position of Associated Professor of Toxicology at UFBAs College of Pharmacy. He has experience in Environmental Toxicology and Epidemiology, focusing on Heavy Metal Toxicity, especially children exposure to lead, manganese and arsenic. Dr. Menezes is accredited advisor in the Graduate Programs in Pharmacy and in Food Science at UFBA. He is a reviewer of manuscript for Environmental Research, Pan American Journal of Public Health, Science of the Total Environment among others and has been a consultant to ATSDR (USA). He is a member of the Brazilian Node of CoPEH-LAC (Community of Practice in Ecossyistemic Approach to Environmental Heath- Latin America and Caribe). He has published more than 22 research articles, 23 conference proceedings, 09 books and chapters in the books are 02.He is also the journal referee and reviewer of many scientific journals. He has more than 43 national/international publication/presentations to his credit and has attended many conferences, workshops and seminars etc.
