Biography

Dr. Maria Bernadete de Sousa Maia obtained her Masters degree in Pharmacology at Federal University of Ceara, Brazil, Ph.D degree in Pharmacology at University Paul Sabatier, French and Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology at the Federal University of Ceara, Brazil. Currently Dr. Maria is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, Professor of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Graduate Program in Biotechnology (RENORBIO), and The Graduate Program in Pathology. Her research interests focus on Pharmacology and Toxicology of Bioactive Products (Pre-clinical and Clinical studies) with Hypoglycemic Anti-Inflammatory and Antiulcer Activity, and Development and Validation of Bioanalytical Methods (HPLC-MS/MS) for studies of Bioavailability, Bioequivalence and Pharmacokinetic. In addition, she is a member of the Technical Chamber of Herbal Medicines of Brazilian health Surveillance Agency and Researcher with Research Productivity Grant from the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development. She has published 50 articles in journals, 1 book and 2 chapters in book.
