Dr. Ricardo Rozzi is currently working as Visiting Scientist at Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, Professor at University of North Texas, part time Professor at Universidad de Magallanes, and Associate Researcher at Millennium Science Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity, Chile. Satiago. He obtained his Ph.D. in Ecology, with focus in Conservation Biology in Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, University of Connecticut. He is Professional member of following societies International Society for Environmental Ethics, The Ecological Society of America, Sociedad de Bioetica de Chile, American Society for Environmental History, Sociedad de Biologia de Chile, Sociedad de Botanica de Chile, Sociedad de Ecologia de Chile, Society of Ethnobiology, Agrupacion de Ingenieros Forestales por el Bosque Nativo, Asociacion de Filosofia y Liberacion, Union Ornitologica de Chile, Union of Concerned Scientists, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has published (127) articles in journals, (30) books, (71) chapters in book, and (239) papers in meetings as author/co-author. He is supervising a number of students in post graduate and doctoral studies under his active supervision. He is also serving the international scientific community by extending expertise as Editorial Board member, and referee in number of journal. Dr. Ricardo Rozzi received honors includes, College of Arts and Sciences Award for Research Excellence, National Prize in Science Education Innovation, Chile, Science and the Practice of Ecology and Society Award, Best Presentation Award with, Poster Presentation Award, National Prize for excellence in outreach and teaching of science, Conservation and Biodiversity Award, University of Connecticut and many others.
