Biography

Prior to joining Fahad Bin Sultan University, Dr. Fakhrul Zaman Abdullah was the Deputy Dean of Asia Graduate School of Business at UNITAR International University where he was responsible in the development and accreditation of various programs in his faculty. Despite having to work on the administrative tasks, Dr. Fakhrul also taught business management courses such as Human Resource Management, Leadership and Research Methodology at post graduate level. Prior to that, he was the Head of Hotel Studies at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (Malaysia), where he taught hospitality courses at undergraduate level in Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Dr. Fakhrul earned his doctorate in management from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) focusing on the area of Hospitality Entrepreneurship. He gained his MBA in Techno Entrepreneurship from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) while his Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management was from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
Dr. Fakhrul whom has over 7 years of experience in teaching, management, research and development particularly in higher education institution, has also involved in academic consultancy and was a panel of advisory board for Hospitality and Tourism education for several institutions in Malaysia.
With specialization in Hospitality Entrepreneurship, Dr. Fakhrul Zaman has involved in several research publications which include entrepreneurship in small budget chalet, employee personality in hotel industry, employee competencies in the Malaysian hotel organizations as well as cultural and community analysis.
