Prof Madya. Dr. Wan Muhammad Amir Bin W Ahmad is presently working as a lecturer at the School of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences and as a deputy director of academic development, PPPA. He completed his PhD in Applied Biostatistics from School of Medical Sciences, University Sains Malaysia, HUSM, Kubang Kerian in 2009.His prior work experience includes lecturer, Course Coordinator, Research Coordinator and Industrial Training Supervisor in KUSTEM & UMT, Terengganu and deputy director of academic development of PPPA & PKPA. He has been directly involved in consultation work by providing a series of short course on statistical analysis (for undergraduates and post-graduates) for others Faculty in University. In addition, he also makes a point to contribute to the university and the community, by providing the professional statistical consulting to researchers (Masters and PhD).Dr. Wan Muhammad Amir Bin Wan Ahmad has also received a few awards from the university. These awards are given by the University as a form of recognition of his contribution and research achievements. Besides that, he was appointed as Chief-Panel Interview for “Scholarship Program for Educators Training Scheme (SLTP)”, by Ministry of Higher Education in 2011. RMC panel for FRGS evaluation since 2013.He completed 03 research projects while (01) projects is ongoing or in process. Dr. Wan Muhammad Amir Bin W Ahmad has published more than 100 papers,83(Local and International) journals, 30 (Local, International and Discovery) proceedings and 14 Books. Besides that, he is also active in producing books for the university. Dr. Wan Muhammad Amir Bin Wan Ahmad is actively involved in reviewing papers for World Applied Science Journal (ISI Journal). Besides that, he was also appointed as associate editor of five journals in Science Alert (Journal of Applied Sciences, Trends in Applied Sciences Research, Asian Journal of Mathematics & Statistics, Asian Journal of Applied Sciences and Singapore Journal of Scientific Research). He is also an active reviewerfor Journal of Sustainability Science and Management (JSSM). His research interests and focus are in the field of Applied Statistical Analysis. Currently, more than 70 papers have been published and many more will be published in the near future. He specializes in four major areas such as Medical Science, Social Science, Statistical Science and Financial Statistics. Wan Muhammad Amir Bin Wan Ahmad has supervised students of B.Sc., MSc. and Ph.D. To date, 5Ph.D. student, 15M.Sc. Students and more than 39 students of Final Year Research Project (FYP) have been supervised. He strives for the best in all areas of academia and being a hard working in both within and outside the university. He also has high potential to be an academic leader based on his achievements.
