Biography

Dr. Romy Greiner is currently working as Director and Principal Investigator at River Consulting Pty Ltd, Townsville QLD, and Adjunct Professor at James Cook University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from University of Hohenheim, Germany in 1992. His professional experience includes, worked as Associate Lecturer at University of Hohenheim, Post-doctoral Research Fellow at University of New England, Armidale, Senior Economist at Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Canberra, Ecological Economist at CSIRO, and Professor of Tropical Livelihoods at Charles Darwin University (CDU), Darwin NT. He is having 20 years research experience. He is professional member & fellow of different societies such as Honorary Member, Savannah Guides, Fellow, Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, Fellow, Association of the Australian Fellows of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, member of International Society of Ecological Economists, Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society, Australian Market and Social Research Society, and Professionals Australia. He is also serving as reviewer in number of journals. He supervised 1 PhD student and 2 Masters students as primary supervisor, 3 PhD students currently in his supervision. He has published (49) articles in journals (48) research reports, (11) chapters in book, (34) referred proceedings and (26) not referred proceedings.
