Byoung Ryong Jeong is a Professor and Dean of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gyeongsang National University. Dr. Jeong has over 300 scientific papers and projects either presented or published. He is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of horticulture including flowriculture, micropropagation, hydroponics, and silicon nutrition in plants. He is a also serving as the president of Korean Society for Floricultural Science. Dr. Jeong served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Horticulture, Environment and Biotechnology and also other journals. Recent research emphasis and publications are focused on micropropagation of rare and endangered plant species, environmental control for the control of plant growth and flowering, and silicon as a nutrient for horticultural plants. Dr. Jeong has been awarded by several societies and organizations for excellent papers. He has served as a member of various scientific societies. Dr. Jeong holds a BS in Agriculture from Gyeongsang National University, a MS in Agriculture from Seoul National University, and a PhD in Horticulture from Colorado State University. Dr. Jeong was trained as a posrdoctoral fellow from University of Missouri-Columbia, and also from Chiba University in Japan.
