Biography

Dr. Hongxing Yang is currently working as Professor at Department of Building Services Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK in 1993. He is Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and Registered Professional Engineer, Hong Kong. He also worked as Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, and Engineer at Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, and Research Associate at Solar Energy Unit, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK, and Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He is also serving as member of editor board in international journals. Dr. Hongxing Yang received honors includes Deans Award for Outstanding Achievement in Academic Programme Development, 2014, Certificate of Merit, Green Innovations Awards, Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, 2013, Merit Award of the Innovation Award for the Engineering Industry, HKIE, Silver medal at the 40th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, and Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research. He has published (83) articles in journals, (5) books and (6) patents contributed as author/co-author.
