Dr. Zhigang Jiang is currently working as Professor, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science, and Principle Professor of Conservation Biology, University of Chinese Academy of Science. He obtained his PhD in Physics from Northwestern University in 2005. His area of research is related to Animal Species Distribution Pattern, Endangerment Mechanism and Biodiversity Conservation. He has published (248) articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, (15) books, (10) chapters in books as author/co-author, (7) papers in workshops and (38) invited speeches. He supervised 33 PhD and 9 Masters Students. He is member of editorial board in number of journals. He is also member of more than 21 professional societies. Dr. Zhigang Jiang received honors includes, Third Class Award for Natural Science, First Class Prize of Conservation Milu in China, Dafeng Natural Reserve, Outstanding Contribution to Nature Reserves in China by the National Environmental Protection Administration, Whitley Award from the Whitley Award Foundation for Nature, and The Huawei Outstanding Supervisor Award.
