Biography

Luo Wei is a post doctorate of Postdoctoral Research Station for Petroleum Engineering of Yangtze University. He is mainly active in the study on in terms of multiphase flow, oil production technology for horizontal well and gas lift oil production technology etc. He has been working on gas lift for more than 10 years and has rich experience in gas lift. He’s an expert in multiphase flow and gas lift. During the master, he has participated in the project of Development of Domestic Software for Optimization Design of Gas Lift, including drawing up research thinking, construction of basic model, wellbore modeling, nodal analysis for natural flow, prediction of termination of natural flow, analysis of sensitivity of continuous gas lift and optimization design, behavior diagnosis, optimization gas distribution as well as preparation of reports. He has worked as an engineering in Gas lift technology center in PetroChina Tuha Oilfield Company in 2009-12. He has participated in the project of Study on Rational Artificial Lift Approach for South Azadegan Oilfield and has involved in feasibility analysis for gas lift recovery as well as prediction of various parameters for Block 4-3 of Jidong, Block ADK of Kazakhstan, Halfaya Oilfield of Iraq and Block 438B of Algeria. He has also attended gas lift service in Jidong Oilfield in China and pertinent R&D such as preparation of gas lift plan, design of gas lift wells, diagnosis and debugging of malfunctioned gas lift wells, optimization of gas lift well, management of gas lift production and gas lift commissioning etc. He got a doctor`s degree of oil and gas field development engineering in Yangtze University in 2015. During the doctoral period (2012.9-2015.7), he has participated in the project of Research on Variable Mass Flow Law and Productivity Prediction for Horizontal and Multi-Branch Wells. Yangtze University has built the world`s advanced multiphase flow laboratory in 2013 which provides a good experimental condition for multiphase flow. During the research period (2006.9-), he has published more than and 10 articles, including gas lift design method, multiphase flow, oil well inflow performance, and so on.
