Dr. Changwei Hu is currently working as Professor at Sichuan University China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from same University in 1996. In past he worked as Director of Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry and Technology, MOE, and Sichuan Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry and Technology, Visiting Scholar at Chinese University of Hongkong, Professor at Universite de Marien N. Gouabi, and Director/Dean/Professor/Voice Chairmen at Sichuan University. Dr. Changwei received number of honors includes Excellent Young Chemist, by the Chemical Society of China, Teaching Research Award Program for Outstanding Young Teachers in Higher Education Institutions of MOE, Leading Scholar of Science and Technology, 2nd class Prime of Excellent Educational Achievement and many others. His area of research focuses on Catalytic Functionalization of C–H Bond based on the Viewpoint of Atom Economy, Catalytic Conversion of Bio-Based Materials (Bio-Oil, Sugars, Raw Algue, and Lignocellulosic Biomass, etc.) to fuel and useful Chemicals, Catalytic Activation of Small Molecules (CO, CO2, CH4 and Low Alkanes, etc.), Molecular Modeling on Catalytic Systems, Preparation of Catalytic Materials including Nano-Scale Material. He has published more than 200 papers in journals, 24 patents authorized, and 11 times awarded by MOE and Sichuan Province.
