Biography

Prof. Shuxiao Wang is a Full Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University and Executive Deputy Director of the State Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Sources and Control of Air Pollution Complex, China. She has been appointed the Director of the Institute of Air Pollution and Control since 2007. She obtained her Ph. D. in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing China in 2001. Prof. Wang is a leading Scientist in the Emissions and control of multiple Airs Pollutants Generated from Energy use Activities. She has generated an interdisciplinary approach to identify the emission sources and address the links between human activities and atmosphere. Her research group has conducted fundamental research on emission characteristics of Air Pollutants, Indoor Air Pollution, Regional Air Pollution Modeling, Population Exposure Assessment and Air Pollution control Policies. Her research has significantly improved our understanding on atmospheric emissions as well as the control of regional air pollution in China. She has over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles. Prof. Shuxiao Wang received honors includes, Science and Technology Progress Award by Ministry of Education of China, National Award for Youth in Science and Technology, National Science and Technology Progress Award, Natural Science Progress Award by Ministry of Education, and Science and Technology Progress Award by Ministry of Environmental Protection.
