Dr. Gui-Peng Yang is currently working as Professor of Marine Chemistry, Dean of College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Marine Chemistry from same University in 1983. In past he worked as Visiting Professor at Laval University, Quebec, Canada, Visiting Scientist at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, Lecturer/Assistant Professor/ and Associate Professor at Ocean University of China, Visiting Scholar at Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, China. His area of research interest focuses on Biogeochemistry of Dimethylsulfide (DMS), Volatile Halocarbons (VHC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) in Seawater, Photochemistry of Organic Matter, Environmental Chemistry of Organic Pollutants, and Liquid-solid Interfacial Chemistry of Organic Pollutants. He is member of International SCOR Working Group 141-Sea Surface Microlayer, Chinese Chemical Society, Administrative Director, Marine Chemistry Council, and Chinese Society of Oceanol & Liminol, and Japan Society of Oceanography. He is also member of editorial board in number of journals. He is also Associate Editor of Marine Chemistry (Elsevier, SCI). He also completed more than 17 research projects. He has published 263 articles in journals as well as 24 paper in conferences contributed as author/co-author.
