Biography
Dr. Mingfa Yao is currently working as Associate Dean of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Engines, Tianjin University, China. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from same University in 1999. He also worked as Teacher Assistant/ Research Assistant/Associate Professor/ Professor/ and Director at Tianjin University, China. He is member of Society of Automotive Engineers, China Society of Automotive Engineers, Association of Alternative Viechle of China, Secretary General & Vice Director, Association of Engine Combustion, Emission and Fuel Conservation of China, and Vice Chairman & Secretary-general, University Research Association for Engineering Thermophysics (URAET) of China. His field of research interest focuses on Diesel Engine Combustion & Pollutant Emissions, HCCI & LTC Combustion & Pollutant Emissions, Alternative Fuel (DME, CNG, Methanol) Combustion and Pollutant Emissions. He has published 33 articles in journals as well as 28 papers in conferences contributed as author/co-author. Prof. Mingfa Yao received number of honors includes, Distinguished Professor Yangtze River Scholars Program, Distinguished Visiting Fellow Award, The innovation leader talent, Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Outstanding Young Scholarship, Grand 2 awards to the Technology Invention, The excellent Post-Doctor Researcher award, Awards to the excellent achievements of Shao-xi Shi Education and Science Foundation on Engine Combustion, and Excellent Youth Scientist in Tianjin University.
