Biography

Dr. Xiang Peter Chen is currently working as Assistant Professor at Arkansas Tech University. He obtained his PhD in Geography from The Ohio State University USA in 2014. His area of research interest related to GIScience such as Emergency Management; Food Security; Social Media; Time Geography. He has published 10 articles in peer review journals as well as 2 conferences proceedings as author/co-author. Dr. Xiang Peter received honors includes, Jacques May Thesis Prize, Faculty Research Grant. Arkansas Tech University, Council of Graduate Students Career Development Grant, International Cartographic Conference Travel Scholarship, U.S. National Committee, Robert Max Thomas Fellowship, and Distinguished University Fellowship. He is also serving as reviewer of many journals. He is member of AAG, and CPGIS. He also presented in number of conferences.
