Dr. Mahbub Hasan is currently working as Professor at Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD in Post-Harvest Entomology from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK in 1995. His working experience includes Research Fellow at Ministry of Science & Technology Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Rajshahi University Bangladesh, Teaching Demonstrator at University of Newcastle, United Kingdom, Post-doctoral Staff at The Federal Biological Research Center for Agricultural & Forestry Berlin Germany, Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Professor at Kansas State University, USA. Dr. Mahbub Hasan received honors include Overseas Research Students Award Scheme, Best Award for the Research Poster Presentation, Der Alxander von Humbolt Stiftung Fellowship, Visiting Professor, National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan. He is member of following scientific societies, Bangladesh Zoological Society, Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science, Vice President Zoological Society Department of Zoology, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh Entomological Society, Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society of London, the Humboldt Club in Bangladesh, and International Advisory Committee for Food and Agricultural Technology King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand. He is also serving as reviewer in journals such as Journal of Economic Entomology, Journal of Stored Products Research, and Journal of Asia- Pacific Entomology. He also attended number of workshops and conferences. He has published 81 research papers in journals contributed as author/co-author. He supervised 15 MSc and 2 PhD thesis.
