Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mahin is currently working as Senior Scientific Officer at Institute of Food and Radiation Biology, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD in Faculty of Agriculture from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan and MSc in Microbiology from University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His experiences includes worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, Senior Scientific Officer at Institute of Food and Radiation Biology, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Dhaka, Research Officer at Dhaka Shishu (children) Hospital, Sher-E-BanglaNagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research area includes molecular biology and protein structure biology, over-expression, purification and functional analysis of protein, biodegradation of toxic organic chemicals, epidemiological study of pathogens. Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mahin is member of following scientific societies, Kyushu University Alumni Association, American Society of Microbiology, Graduate microbiologist Association Dhaka, University Microbiology Alumni Association, Member, Bangladesh Society of Microbiologists, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Scientists Association and Bangladesh Environment Network Japan. Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mahin received number of awards and honors includes JSPS Post-doctoral Research Fellowship 2012-13, Japan, MEXT Fellowship for Nuclear Researchers Exchange Program, Monbukagakusho Scholarship, and Conference Scholarship in Singapore, Dhaka University Scholarship, and also many research grants. He is also serving as editor/reviewer of international journals and conferences. He published 33 articles in journals as author/co-author and delivered 5 oral presentations in conferences. He is supervising students of MSc and BSc of different universities of Bangladesh.
