Biography

Dr. Elif Oztetik is currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Biology at Science Faculty, Anadolu University, Turkey. She completed her PhD in 2005 from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Biochemistry. Her area of work includes Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences and Bio-monitoring. The lectures delivered by her in Anadolu University are both in Turkish and English. She is an editor and one of the author of a book which is prepared for AOF (Open University System of Anadolu University). She served as the Academic Advisory Board Member of Rector between the years of 2006-2009. She has published many articles in International and National Peer Reviewed journals which are all indexed by SCI and SCI-Expanded indexes. She wrote a chapter An Introduction to Oxidative Stress in Plants and the Role of Non-Enzymatic Antioxidants in a book called Oxidative Stress in Plants Causes, Consequences and Tolerance in 2012. She is also serving for some International and National journals as Editor/Reviewer. So far, Dr. Oztetik has finished 3 research projects which are sponsored by Anadolu University and TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Counsil of Turkey). Another research project was still continuing and 2 others are currently applied for a grant. She has produced 2 MSc scholars already. At the moment she is supervising 1 PhD student and serving as an Erasmus Departmental Coordinator since October 2014.
