I have held the position of Professor at Ege University, Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture,. I’ve complited my Ph.D. in crop physiology, which was conferred by the Agronomy section of the same department in 2011. During my academic pursuits, I had the opportunity to actively participate in several international research institutes, mainly in Germany, where I spent more than two years. Notably, I served as a visiting scientist within Prof. F. Asch's group at the University of Hohenheim during the period spanning 2008 to 2009 and engage in research activities under the guidance of Dr. H. Brück at Kiel University from 2005 to 2006. Post-Ph.D., I continued to expand my expertise through involvement in laboratory studies focusing on enzyme and secondary metabolites collaboration with Prof. A. Edreva's group at the Bulgarian Academy of Science.
In recent years, my research focus has revolved around impacts on climate change on crop production, abiotic stresses and high-throughput phenotyping (HTPs), which necessitate advanced imaging technologies and a deep understanding of physiology. I have actively pursued collaborative opportunities by currently accepted joint EU projects, forging partnerships with esteemed institutes in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
