Biography
Dr. Perihan Caglar is currently working as Professor of Chemistry at Hacettepe University, Department of Chemistry, Ankara-Turkey. She has completed her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from same University. Previously she was appointed as Head, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at Firat University. Her current area of research interest focuses on Electrochemical Biosensors, Conductive Polymers, Fiber-Optic Chemical Sensors and Biosensors, Quality Assurance in Environmental Analysis, Development-Design and Application of Optical Fiber Chemical Sensors for Environmental, Clinical and Industrial Purposes, Novel Sensors Based on Capillary Electrophoresis and Fiber Optic Technology, Capillary Electrophoretic systems and Microchip Sensors based on absorption detection using Fiber Optics. She is professional member of Turkish Chemical Society, Turkish Spectroscopy Society, Fulbright Society, American Chemical Society, IUPAC, and member of International Steering Committee, European Conference on Optical Chemical Sensors and Biosensors, and Mediterranean Basin Conference on Analytical Chemistry. She has published 60 papers in refereed journals and communications to scientific meetings.
