Biography

Dr. Begum Sertyesilisik is currently working as Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey and Visiting Professor at the Liverpool John Moores University, England. She has completed her Ph.D. in Construction Sciences from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. Her previous appointments include Instructor at the University of Cyprus and Yasar University, Assistant Professor at the Yildiz Technical University, Lecturer at the Liverpool John Moores University, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering Wayne State University. She is member of Architects Union of Turkey and CIB. Dr. Begum Sertyesilisik received honors includes Course Performance Award from Middle East Technical University and Appreciation award for Supervisorship of the dissertations at the Yildiz Technical University. She has published 23 research articles in journals as well as 21 conference proceeding, 3 books and 5 book chapters contributed as author/co-author. She has supervised 6 master thesis and 19 dissertations are in process.
