Biography

Dr. Vinod Kumar Gupta is currently working as Professor of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from University of Roorkee, India in 1979. His field of interest related to Environmental Engineering, Electro-Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Sensors, and Waste Management. In past he worked as Visiting Professor at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Vice-Chancellor at Dr. R M L Avadh University Faizabad, Chair Professor at University of Petroleum and Minerals Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Associate Professor, Pool Officer, Lecturer and Assistant Professor at University of Roorkee. He is having 34 years research experience. He supervised 37 PhD, 10 M. Phil and 35 M.Sc. Dissertation, 6 PhD students currently in his supervision. He has published (450) Papers in International Peer Reviewed Journals with high Impact Factors as well as (50) Papers presented at various National and International Conferences, and (13) Invited chapters in books and Encyclopedias are in his credit. He is also editor of international journals and member of editorial board in number of journals. He also delivered lectures in number of foreign Universities and also Chaired Sessions in 13 International Conferences. He is life member of following scientific societies, Indian National Science Congress Association, Chemistry Sectional Committee for 89th Session of ISCA, Indian Society for Electro analytical Chemistry, and International Society of Electrochemistry. He also organized number of national and international conferences. Dr. Vinod Kumar received honors includes, Khoshla Research Prize, European Commission Post Doctoral Fellowship Awarded, India Citation Laureate Award, and Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences.
