Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma is currently working as Associate Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Singapore, and Senior Consultant at Division of Neurology Department of Medicine, National University Hospital, Singapore and Visiting Consultant at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore. His area of research interest focuses on Thrombolysis in Acute Ischemic Stroke and Ultrasound Enhanced Thrombolysis, Assessment of Cerebral Hemodynamics in patients with Ischemic Stroke, Intracranial Stenosis and assessment of Cerebral Vasodilatory reserve to select patients for various Revascularization Therapies, Recovery from Stroke, Neurorehabilitation, Mechanisms of ultrasound enhanced Thrombolysis, and Methods of risk-stratification in patients with Extracranial and Intracranial Stenoses. He has published 224 research articles in journals as well as 245 abstracts contributed as author/co-author. He also attended 346 conferences and performed presentations.
