Biography

Dr. S.K. Sekar is currently working as Senior Professor and Dean at VIT University, Vellore, India. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is having 29 years teaching experience, and 8 month industry experience and 14 years research experience. Previously he was appointed as Principal at Annamalaiar College of Engineering, Mudaiyur, Polur, and Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, Senior Lecturer at Adhiparashakthi Engineering College, Melmaruvathur, and Associate Lecturer and Lecturer at Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering, Kancheepuram. Dr. S.K Sekar also acted as Chief Guest/Speaker in several meetings. He also received honors includes 5 times received Best Teacher Award and Research Eminent Award from VIT University. He has completed 6 funded research projects and 18 consultancy projects. He has published 2 books, 27 research articles in national and international journals, 65 papers in national and international conferences, and 2 patents contributed as author/co-author. He successfully supervised 4 M.Tech, 4 B.Tech and 4 PhD students currently in his supervision. He is life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Systems Society of India (SSI), Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), and fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE).
