Biography

Dr. Manjunath P. Salmani is an Associate Professor at Shri B.M. Patil Medical College, H&RC affiliated to BLDE University, Vijaypur, Karnataka, India. Dr. Salmani has 15 scientific papers and projects either presented or published. He is a recognized expert in many areas of Microbiology like Bacteriology, Immunology, Virology, Parasitology and Mycology. Dr. Salmani is the reviewer of health sciences journals like International Journal of Medical Research and Health Sciences and also International Journal of Clinical and BioMedical Research. Recent publications include a paper on Genotyping of hepatitis C virus in Vijaypur. Dr. Salmani has been awarded the Gold medal for best scientific paper by Scientific and Research Society of BLDE University in April 2011 and also won the best scientific poster award in the annual conference of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, Maharashtra chapter in October 2015. He has served as an Executive committee member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, Karnataka in 2008. Dr. Salmani is a life member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists and Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, Karnataka. Dr. Salmani is recognized by his peers as a Scientific and Medical expert who integrates new technologies into everyday clinical practice. Dr. Salmani holds a MBBS degree from Kuvempu University, Karnataka, India and an MD in Microbiology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India. He has 9 years of teaching (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) and research experience after his MD.
